Jeep Safari is the most preferred mode of safari in Corbett done in an open-gypsy. Jeep is a small vehicle that can give place to 6 Adults & 2 kids at a time. Jeep Safari booking is open for the Bijrani, Jhirna, Dhela, Durga Devi, and Sitabani zones of Jim Corbett Park. To book a jeep safari in Dhikala zone, booking a night stay along with it in the Dhikala zone is compulsory. Timings for Jeep Safari in each zone vary for summer and winter season.

Canter Safari

One more way to explore wilderness in Jim Corbett National Park is through Canter Safari. Canter is a larger vehicle of a mini bus size that can accommodate 16 people at a time. If your group visiting to Corbett is bigger than 6-8 people, book a canter safari in Jim Corbett. “Dhikala” is the only zone where you can enjoy canter safari booking at Jim Corbett.

Things to remember before planning a safari

  • When you are booking the safari ride, one has to pay the whole amount only at the time of booking.
  • You need to carry the exact ID proof using, which you have made a booking for the ride. For foreign nationals, a passport is required.
  • Once your booking is confirmed, the permit will be non-refundable as well as non-transferable.
  • If someone plans to go on Jeep Safari in the Dhikala safari zone, one has to book in advance at least before 70-80 days to make sure the slot is available.
  • Indian citizens have to book for safari at least 45 days and foreigners for at least days in advance.
  • The forest authorities can close the park with or without prior notice.
  • If you want to go on a safari, you have to reach at least 30 minutes earlier.
  • Ensure to follow instructions shared by the jeep driver and the tour guide.
  • Wear full-sleeve comfortable clothes when you go on a safari.
